Can-Am Days: March 12-20

Throughout the year, the population of Myrtle Beach undergoes a year, as visitors converge en masse to soak up the sun, take in a few rounds of golf and so much more. However, no single group has quite so noteworthy a presence in the area as people who descend from the north. North of the border, that is.

Canadians make up one of the largest groups of visitors to Myrtle Beach from outside the U.S. And for more than a half-century, the city has paid tribute to its snowbirds. Each year, the annual Can-Am Days celebration showcases Southern hospitality at its finest, with fun activities and events – including a welcome reception, outdoor concerts and a series of indoor performances at the area’s well-traveled malls.

The event even spills out of the city to nearby Conway, with shuttles bringing celebrants across to enjoy walking tours, glass-blowing demonstrations, museum tours and Waccamaw River tours.

To learn more about the 55th annual Can-Am Days, which will be held March 12-20, visit the Myrtle Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau website at www.visitmyrtlebeach.com. To plan your trip to Myrtle Beach in time to catch the celebration, drop us a line at info@takethreenights.com.
